Advocates are the most powerful people in your online marketing arsenal for keeping your message, product and image alive. Keep mind however that in 2018 you can buy influence and pay people to say good things about you. Even criminals and perverts. The classic cautionary tale for this is the Jared Fogle story of a few years back.

ABd targets the influencers you want to reach online and offline to extend your brand’s influence and reach. BE CAREFUL HOWEVER. Advocates that are not generated organically except for a law firm or something that is a service that needs them are generally paid influencers. Think of the online (and cruel and disgusting) joke that follows Subway with every sandwich they sell. Looks like they had a problem with $5 footlongs three months ago and only 50% real chicken in their sandwiches in 2017 and so on and so forth…
